Sign-in and licensing

KubeDrive is free for daily work with a couple of clusters. Pro adds unlimited clusters and port-forwards, full Helm, PromQL, aggregated logs, the RBAC explorer, change history, compare and settings sync. See pricing.

You only need an account for Pro or the trial. Everything else works without one, offline.

Sign in

1. In KubeDrive open License… (the app menu, or ⌘K → License) and click Sign In….
2. Your browser opens api.kubedrive.com/activate with a code. Check that it matches the code in the app, enter your email and continue.
3. Open the link in the email and click Sign in. The link works once, for 15 minutes.
4. KubeDrive finishes signing in by itself.

There is no password. Each device signs in separately; an account can be signed in on 3 devices — signing in on a fourth signs out the one you have not used for the longest.

Free trial

Signed in, click Try Pro Free in the License window for 14 days of Pro. No card is needed. Each account and each Mac gets one trial. When it ends, KubeDrive goes back to Free: nothing is lost, the Free limits apply again.

Working offline

The license is a signed token kept on your Mac. KubeDrive renews it once a day when it is online. A paid license keeps working for 14 days without a connection, so travelling or an outage never stops your work. A trial does not get those extra days.

License keys

For machines that never go online, you can enter a license key in License… → Enter a license key. Write to us to get one.

Sign out

Sign Out on This Mac in the License window removes this Mac from your account and deletes its license token. A license key you entered by hand stays.
